EA\ED申請被退回時我們怎么辦？

各位正在奮戰期末考的同學辛苦了！

相信有些同學已經收到EA/ED大學錄取的好消息，并苦惱要選擇哪一所學校，在此先恭喜你們喔！

但是還是有一些同學可能被EA/ED的學校eferre或拒絕，也請不要失望。EA/ED的申請本身就比較激烈，但學校只能開放一定的錄取名額。因此并不是你自己本身學術或課外活動不夠好，只是學校以目前的名額做策略性的錄取而已。

Defining College Deferrals

首先，什么是College Deferrals? Deferral通常是指你的申請還沒結束，學校在EA/ED的環節覺得你的申請材料不錯，但是提前申請的名額有限，因此把你的申請文件推送至一般申請環節重新審閱，這時候將會把12年級的成績與額外的課外活動一并考量進去。通常將會在三月或四月時取得最后錄取通知。

如果你是Early Decision (ED)申請被推送，那你的資格將會被從BiningCommitment限制條約中被解除。

有時候學生會覺得申請文件被退送至一般申請環節會很沮喪，但是申咨詢師要鼓勵大家這并不代表完全沒有希望了。你的申請文件仍然在審理階段，下面我提供一些小技巧可以增加一些錄取的機率。

Making a Goo Impression

****如果你仍然對于此大學有相當大的興趣，這時候你可以提供額外的資料去讓學校知道為什么你如此喜歡這所學校與你將會提供什么材料與證明。請記住，這時候所使用的語言需要以尊重的語氣說明，同時表現自己的熱誠但又不失禮節。

1.詳細閱讀Deferral Letter內的說明

請詳細的閱讀信件上的說明，遵守信上的規定與步驟。請記住，如有些學校要求“ you shoul not sen in any aitional information”時，請就不要再寄送任何新文件。

2.寄送補充文書

以下咨詢師提供一個補充文書范本，請記住此時是表現你為何對此學校有興趣，并針對學術上與課外活動上的補充。請不要重復列舉已經繳交的文書內容，請在寄送之前與輔導咨詢師再次確認內容與文法。以下幾點可以參考的方向為：

學術活動更新：

a. 期中與期末考試成績，標準化考試成績

b. 額外學術競賽，研究報告

c. 參與大學學術活動

課外活動更新：

a. 社團競賽表現

3.安排額外面試 (如需要)

有時候學校在之前EA/ED申請環節內提供面試機會但未參加者，這時可以安排面試，面試者將會提供最新的反饋給學校招生處。

最后，如果被學校錄取了，請記得寄送一封感謝信給學校，這是學生都忘記做的事情。

I recently receive the isappointing news that I was enie amissioninto USC. Unerstanably, with over 56,000 applicants, I know there were manyincreible applicants making it a ifficult ecision to choose whom to amit,which is why I’m grateful to be consiere after reviewing the new informationbelow.
