美國管理學專業留學詳解

管理學碩士為商學院的典型項目，但是美國大學開設純管理學碩士的項目比較少，有的院校有不同的叫法，本文小編就詳細為大家介紹一下美國大學的管理學碩士。

MiM or Masters in Management or Master of Management Studies is a premium post-graduate degree targeted towards individuals who have just graduated or are young professionals. 學制及課程設置

管理學碩士項一般開設在商學院，部分項目有開設在繼續教育學院 (比如哥倫比亞大學的企業風險管理、波士頓大學除了商學院有個管理學碩士，繼續教育學院也有個企業風險管理碩士等) ，通常情況下，領導力等項目也可以作為管理學項目申請。

美國大學的管理學碩士學位有：Master of Science, Master of Management, Master of Professional Studies，學制是多數為1學年(10個月)。其課程設置如下：

專業背景及先修課要求

美國管理學碩士對于專業背景要求和限制不大，主要針對非商科背景學生轉商科申請，部分的項目要求非商科專業背景。且要求工作經驗比較短，一般不超過2年，工作經驗超過2年的申請者建議直接申請工商管理學碩士MBA.

絕大多數項目不要求具體的先修課，部分項目會要求，比如芝加哥大學的Master in Management項目要求Applicants are required to have taken at minimum one quantitative/STEM class such as college-level math or statistics. The Master in Management Program at Booth is for those who earned a non-business undergraduate degree in the liberal arts or STEM fields. Students who graduate with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) are not eligible for the Master in Management Program. All other degrees are welcome to apply. 申請者要求至少具備一門量化課程，比如大學課程水平的數學或者統計。而且芝加哥大學Booth商學院的管理學碩士主要這對本科非商科背景，比如文科或者理工科背景學生設置的，本科為工商管理專業學生不允許申請。

比如密歇根大學安娜堡分校的管理學碩士要求：non-business majors who are graduating this year or completed their undergraduate studies less than two years ago. completed a Pre-Calculus OR Introduction to Statistics course。非商科背景應屆生或者畢業2年以內的學生可以申請。課程方面建議完成微積分或者統計概論的先修課，并取得C及以上的成績，可以為大學期間修的，也可以是體現在成績單上面的AP Calculus AB 或者 AP Statistics.

加州大學戴維斯分校的管理學碩士要求：We do not require any prerequisite courses for admission. However, it is strongly recommended that you complete course work in accounting, calculus, economics and statistics prior to enrolling in the UC Davis MM program, particularly if you do not have sharp quantitative skills or do not achieve a strong score on the quantitative section of the GMAT. In addition, it is strongly recommended that you are proficient in the use of various computer software including Microsoft Word and Excel. 強烈建議申請者在入讀之前完成會計、微積分、經濟和統計的課程。

所以，目標申請美國的管理學碩士，建議可以補這些先修課：基本的量化課程，例如微積分、統計學，其次是商科、經濟學的入門類課程：Introductory courses in Economics, Statistics, Business or Management, Financial Accounting, Finance and Marketing.

申請要求和院校檔次

管理學作為應用型比較強的商科專業，對于總體的申請要求還是比較高的。好學校的商學院基本都是要求托福達到100分以上，或者雅思7.0-7.5以上，且非常看中申請者相關的實習經歷，尤其是創業經歷。有管理崗位的課外活動經歷也是很好的加分項。對于目標院校的定位可以參考：

第一梯隊，申請難度最大的幾所學校，比如耶魯大學、杜克大學、芝加哥大學、康奈爾大學等，建議國內重點985名校或者海本top院校背景，GPA 3.8以上，TOEFL 110分以上，GRE 330分或者GMAT 740以上，同時具備最好3-4段以上高質量及top名企的實習或者相關的創業經歷，一定要有領導力體現。

第二梯隊院校，比如密歇根大學安娜堡分校、喬治城大學、埃默里大學等top 30其他學校，建議GPA 3.6以上，TOEFL 100+， GRE 320+或者GMAT 700+，同時具備2-3段相關的實習經歷。

其他top 50院校也建議申請者具備3.4以上的GPA, 100以上的托福成績和320以上的GRE成績才會比較有競爭力。
