The Bicycle in China

The bicycle is the most popular means of transportation in China. China is a country “on bicycle wheels”. People ride them for various purposes such as going to and from school and work. Bicycles are very cheap and easy to buy in China.

There are many advantages to riding a bicycle. First, using a bicycle can greatly help reduce the air pollution in many big cities. Second, people can improve their health by riding a bicycle.

The future of bicycle will be bright. In some European countries, city governments have arranged pedestrians to use “public bicycles” to travel round the city center free of charge.

英語寫作有哪些訣竅

肯定不如否定好

修辭的使用在書面表達中算作很大的亮點，雙重否定也是種修辭，而且對于考生來說，只要稍加注意，可以在文章中設計雙重否定的句子。

例如想表達“郵遞員天天準時到”，如果寫成The postman comes on time every day，就不如變成雙重否定，The postman never fails to come on time，就變成了亮點句，起到強調作用。

“幾乎每個人對生活的態度都不同程度受到地震的影響”，寫成雙重否定There was hardly a man or a woman whose attitude towards life had not been affected by the earthquake.

主動不如被動巧

在近些年的閱卷中，發現考生在寫作中很少使用被動語態，也許是受中文思維的影響，幾乎整篇文章都使用主動語態。其實在英文中，被動語態的使用是很重要的。英語是一門客觀的語言，而漢語是主觀的語言，具體體現則是：英語經常用被動語態，而漢語經常用主動語態；

英語中經常用物稱或形式主語開頭，強調一件事發生在什么人身上，而漢語經常用人稱開頭強調一個人發生了什么事。所以使用被動語態更符合英語的習慣。

廣泛閱讀，拓展知識積累

“熟讀唐詩三百首，不會作詩也會吟”。在大量的閱讀過程中，可使學生開拓視野，拓展知識，增加語感，為寫作提供必要的語言材料。寫作和閱讀是互相促進、相輔相成的。有些詞匯和句型，學生只是似曾相識，通過廣泛的閱讀能促使學生把這些東西運用得更熟練，表達得更準確。反過來，這也會有效地提高學生的閱讀理解能力。
